ARIES

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 5th House of identity, individuality, selfhood, children, fun, love affairs, creative self-expression and "joi de vivre.")

Some of the challenges you dealt with last month about balancing expectations with freedom may still be active, but you should be moving in a new rhythm and a more steady direction now than you were before. This month your aim is to channel that energy into building a stronger sense of self, developing your creativity in a broad context (e.g., groups, organisations, community), and finding ways to integrate these into your philosophy of life, especially with the help of other people you are close to. If you are having doubts about where you're going or where your passion can take you, ask yourself if you might be confusing self-confidence with prideful certainty and forgetting that humility does not have to equal humiliation. Use this time to confront inner demons of self-doubt, fear and uncertainty, for the purpose of flushing these out into the open. You can do battle with them more directly after Mercury goes direct on Aug.15.

ARIES

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your 11th House of friends, peers, colleagues and co-workers, groups, organisations, community at large and vision of the future.)

Now is the time when you can confront the obstacles that have been in your way, be they internal doubts or external frustrations. This will work best if you can resist the urge to react impulsively, and pace yourself instead, in order to make steady progress. The key here is empowerment that is rooted in having faced your darker corners (e.g., fear, doubt, etc.) without losing touch with the optimism and trust in your Higher Power (in whatever way that is meaningful to you). The work required to achieve your goals and deal effectively with the expectations of others may seem to be doing the one-step-forward-two-steps-back dance, but rest assured that this is temporary. You just need to go back to tie up some loose ends until the fall, in the areas of career, goals and accomplishments over the last four years. Don't fall into the trap of shadow-boxing with what might look like ambiguity, hidden motives or a swampy situation that you can't seem to get a solid foothold in. Strive to frame your experience in the knowledge that not all enemies are visible, and not all things that are invisible are enemies. Don't lose that Higher Power perspective, which is still there for the asking.

TAURUS

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 4th House of family, Father, childhood, home base, need for nurturing, security and belonging, and the past.)

This is a time to get grounded in a stronger sense of who you are in terms of what forces from the past made you who you are today. This can be a time when you have a lot of memories and thoughts of the past. Some of these memories might challenge you to come to terms with old unresolved problems or ways you have been held back. This is a long-term process, so don't feel you're "doing it wrong" if you don't make immediate progress. For now, you may find it necessary to rethink your relationship with your children (if you have any) in the light of your past, or to rethink the ways you spend your creative energies compared to the ways you've always done this. What's nagging in the background is a sense of idealism of what you could achieve if you really reached beyond your usual horizon, but what your creative side wants and what your practical side wants may be difficult to bring together into one overall direction. You may feel more motivated than you have for a while, to move ahead and make progress, and some of this motivation may come from not wanting to repeat mistakes or frustrations from the past. If you seem a bit not-tempered lately, rest assured this will start to calm down soon, especially after Mercury goes Direct on Aug.15.

TAURUS

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(In your solar 10th House of career, goals, ambitions, authority, public recognition, Mother, social reputation and roles in society.)

Your career and life goals are the focus, and you should be better able to organise your thoughts and manage your objectives now. You may still feel some tension about wanting to make more progress than you are, but your hurdles are more about grappling with your idealism about what you want to accomplish and how to focus your thoughts to make that happen. Yes, it is possible to move closer to the vision of your highest potential, but don't fall into the trap of setting your sights so high that you become discouraged by the light years of distance you must go to achieve it. Strive to achieve balance by formulating an organised agenda that includes people (e.g., co-workers or healers) who can help you move along the path. At the same time, leave room for spontaneous flashes of intuition that bring unexpected information, so that you can integrate this into your gameplan as it comes to you.

GEMINI

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 3rd House of intellect, communication, ideas, perceptions, learning, neighbours, commerce, short-distance travel, and information exchange.)

A new mental focus that is based on intuition and spiritual input is being developed now. With your ruling planet Mercury still being retrograde, it may feel a bit like all your perceptions and facts are upsidedown and backwards, but this is also because you are more receptive than usual to spiritual forces. By that I mean that you are sensitive to being connected to something greater than yourself, and it may not be possible to clearly define what that is or how to integrate it into your conscious awareness. Look for ways to express yourself poetically, creatively and dramatically, but be careful not to fall into the trap of demanding bigger and better thrills and risks to satisfy your need to touch a force that's greater than your ego consciousness. There is a lot of energy operating in your life right now that is spiritual in nature (i.e., not visible or tangible or clear), and your usual rational and cerebral way of interacting with life may not always work the way you expect it to. So be gentle with yourself and use this time to cultivate self-acceptance while finding a balance between humility and confidence.

GEMINI

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your 9th House of spirituality, beliefs, truth-seeking, justice, philosophy, knowledge, teaching/learning, publishing, long-distance travel, foreign lands and languages, and multiculturalism.)

By now, Mercury is finally moving in forward motion, which at least gives you more ability to reason through the ambiguous and intuitive experiences that are still happening. You still may find it's not easy to move forward in nice clear steps, and that it feels more like there is swampland under your feet, but don't let that stop you from making what progress you can. You may find it helps to take action according to "when the spirit moves" instead of planning it out in an analytical way, but like walking through a swamp, your gate will likely need to be slow and careful to keep yourself moving steadily. The truth is you are in contact with a Higher Power right now, which could be anything from spiritual forces to the broader perspective of humanitarian compassion or even participating in a community of higher learning or philosophical exploration. If you try to keep track of all the facts and details, you're bound to get lost, so let yourself accept that you are currently surrounded by something bigger than your conscious awareness and let it liberate you. That doesn't mean giving up conscious control; it means surrendering to the fact that you can't control or analyze everything and taking what you can learn from that experience.

CANCER

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 2nd House of finances, income, expenses, possessions, resources, self-worth, and material security and values.)

This is a time when you will need to draw on your intuition and non-rational thinking, and that's normally an area Cancer is pretty comfortable with. The challenge comes from the fact that this is more than your usual internal intuitive flow, and you might feel a bit more vulnerable than you're used to. Your creativity and self-expression are especially strong right now, and you may feel inspired to channel this into building up your resources, finances or possessions in creative ways that enhance both your needs and others'. However, there is a risk of getting a bit overwhelmed by the needs and unconscious agendas of other people right now. This is especially true if you feel compelled to respond out of some kind of spiritual ethic (e.g., compassion that feels like a directive from the Universe) or because you don't know how to say no (e.g., the boundaries aren't clear). Friends, colleagues and your community may push you into taking action (out of argument or practical motivation), as you juggle all these different concerns and priorities happening around you. The way to establish a position of empowerment is to reach into your past experience and draw on your support system of those close to you (e.g., family or Significant Others) to find solutions, knowledge and wisdom that can address the situation in a way that is fair to all concerned—including (perhaps especially) yourself!

CANCER

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

((Takes place in your 8th House of power, empowerment, control, intensity, deep psychology, death, rebirth, transformation and sexuality.)

The call to secure a position of empowerment and strength is now loud and clear. You are encouraged to embrace a certain detachment, which might seem a little strange to a Cancer (who typically bonds quickly with others). However, by "letting the winds of the heavens dance between you" (Kahlil Gibran) in an atmosphere of freedom and detachment, you can achieve a healthy separateness between yourself and others. What you lose in empathetic bonding (and enmeshment) you will gain in freedom of choice. If you are not used to this separateness, it may sometimes feel like you're floating in free-fall and you might wonder if this is quite what the Universe had in mind. Remember there is a difference between detachment and disconnection: detachment involves a flexible, healthy independence, whereas disconnection is like a rigid wall that is best used in extreme situations that require radical measures. Ground yourself by doing a reality check-in with your anger, your assertive instincts and your impulse to take action – all of which will likely point like a compass toward your important inner priorities. That doesn't mean just letting your temper loose, though! You're probably in a better position now to see the obstacles in your way and where your best path lies that can guide you around them. You likely have a much clearer sense of fairness, justice, diplomacy and negotiation now, which can help you find a workable balance between your connection to others and the need to value yourself.

LEO

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 1st House of self, outer personality, appearance, vitality and self-assertion.)

This New Moon has your name on it, Leo, and is especially your time to shine! Although you may often be more comfortable working at a personal, "ego consciousness" level, this is a time when you are called upon to reach out and connect with the trans-personal forces in your life. This has been a gradual process for you since around 1998 (when Neptune went into Aquarius), but it is brought especially into focus during this lunar cycle. Relationships and interactions with others may take on a larger-than-life experience. You might feel a bit overwhelmed or lost within your connection to someone close to you, making it difficult to maintain clear boundaries and independence. Or you could get swept away by someone who inspires you and shows you a perception of life that seems to reach far beyond your usual personal experience. The creative tension generated by this situation could provide fuel for something concrete like writing (maybe poetry?), or may just help you stretch your spiritual, philosophical and perceptual "muscles." Be aware that with Saturn in your sign now, you will probably not be able to simply collapse yourself into this larger-than-life experience, as you will be held accountable for the choices you make and have circumstances to deal with. Balance between these factors is what to aim for.

LEO

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your 7th House of Significant Others, relationships, partnerships, inter-connectedness with others, style of interaction, and balance.)

Relationships and your close interactions with other people are now on centre stage. You are encouraged to find a healthy detachment from others – not to be confused with impersonal disconnection. Nor is this about turning others into being merely an audience to applaud your creativity, love and beauty (which are abundant now). This is about taking some space to apply conscious choices based on information, insight and inspiration from the last month or so, especially in creative projects, self-development and establishing a workable balance in relationships. Communication and interaction take on greater implications than what seems to happen on the surface, which tap into the broader perspective, philosophical outlook and spiritual connections you have been cultivating since last November. If you are involved in any creative projects, relationship issues or negotiations over the coming 2-3 weeks, you can benefit by keeping lines of communication open and drawing on your perceptions that take the big picture into account.

VIRGO

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 12th house of spirituality, compassion, isolation, inner focus, meditation, escapism, addiction and universal love and beauty.)

During this cycle, it is important that you get some alone time and focus into your inner connection to the Universe. There you will find a hidden, subtle clue that provides insight into the essence of who you are and some refuelling energy to help you keep your spiritual fire fed. "Spiritual" in this sense could mean religious beliefs, or nurturing the deep passion of who you are, or perhaps just feeling part of something greater than yourself. You have been in a gradual "spiritual" awakening in the areas of work, health, service and practical application of your gifts, since 1998 (when Neptune went into Aquarius). This current lunar cycle gives you the opportunity to channel this awakening and apply it to self-development, self-reflection and creative projects. Most of this is likely to be internal (thoughts, dreams, inspiration, intuition). You may also discover some issues and areas that will need investment of work and time over the next couple of years, and will require plenty of alone time to tap into unconscious issues and creative undercurrents that rise to the surface. This lunar cycle can be a beginning for this, and you may feel tempted to collapse yourself into the experience – or to resist it with all your analytical might – neither of which is your best option. Cultivate the ability to "just sit with" whatever your experience is; maybe do some writing to find words (poetry might be helpful) or talk with someone who understands what you're going through. You can utilise an abundance of resources right now, both practical and spiritual, but be careful not to overspend or be presumptuous about how much others are willing to be there for you.

VIRGO

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your 6th House of work and service (paid or volunteer), health and healing, analysis and organisation, and your contribution to the world.)

Now is the time when you can start to apply that inspiration, meditation and spiritual buzz, particularly in the areas of work, health and service. Now that Mercury is Direct, you will find it much easier to analyze and organise your ideas and plans in a way that eluded you at the New Moon; however, that doesn't mean it will be straightforward or that the mysterious element has vanished! Both income and satisfaction from your work, service and contributions to your environment may come easily now. In fact, as you get closer to September, you might find the Universe smiles on you in the form of a financial windfall, extra resources or generous people who can help you get where you're going...or in the form of dazzling and tempting things to spend your money on! Be sure you can afford it if you spend it. Being proactive about sharing your knowledge and wisdom can help to counterbalance any remaining ambiguity or confusion about how to apply your spiritual and creative energy in concrete ways. Just be careful not to confuse your agenda to share knowledge with an urge to shove your truth down someone's throat, in an effort to help them whether they think they need it or not.

LIBRA

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 11th House of friends, peers, colleagues and co-workers, groups, organisations, community at large and vision of the future.)

Who you are as an individual versus who you are as a member of a collective (group, community, etc.) is the focus of this lunar cycle. You might find that initially it's easier to reflect on your insights and experiences about this, rather than express them and put them into practice, which makes this a good time to reach inside and listen to that quiet inner voice that speaks with the essence of who you are. Taking some alone time to meditate about this, or connecting with friends and organisations that can help you reach your inner sanctum, can help you gain a deeper understanding of the forces and undercurrents that are in your life right now. Creative projects can flourish now – at least in terms of inspiration for future development, even if immediately progress seems temporarily stalled. For now, take some time to gather the details and specific resources you will need to accomplish your goals. Resist the temptation to lose yourself in love/sex, community/group involvement and addictive behaviour during this cycle. Instead, seek to find genuine beauty and meaning in your "organic" (i.e., natural, personal, real) experience of beauty, love, art, uplifting experiences, friends, community, play/fun, spiritual healing, and the natural innocence of children.

LIBRA

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 5th House of identity, individuality, selfhood, children, fun, love affairs, creative self-expression and joi de vivre.)

Finding the right balance between your independent self and your membership in groups and community is at the forefront now. You may find that recent events have revealed a need to do some work on these areas, which first require that you tie up some loose ends from past projects, events and personal healing from the last couple of years, involving family dynamics, home and your emotional support system. Your ability to paint your circumstances and surroundings with beauty, love, harmony and fairness is very strong over the next 2-3 weeks, and you are likely to beam these qualities out to the world with very little effort. This can rejuvenate your current relationship, or possibly bring in new opportunities, if that's what you're looking for. Your sensuality is strong right now and can be a source of empowerment that just "feels good." You also have an extra strong ability to negotiate, mediate and strategize with elegant and creative flair. Use it wisely – so that all concerned can benefit from spirituality, beauty and wisdom. You have a special opportunity now to tap into some mystical energy in the Universe, so don't sell yourself short by defaulting to cliché glamour, prefabricated stereotypes or get-rich-quick schemes.

SCORPIO

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(In your solar 10th House of career, goals, ambitions, authority, public recognition, Mother, social reputation and roles in society.)

Your spiritual roots and your present-day connection to whatever Spiritual Source you acknowledge can inspire new projects, goals and directions in what you strive to achieve in your life. However, you may need to stay in the planning stages for a week or two longer, to finish collecting information and envisioning the design of what you'll be doing. Don't skip this, because for the next couple of years you will be manifesting your creative vision and ambitions more concretely than ever before, and the more you pre-plan the greater your chance of success. You are now able to draw on inner wisdom and behind-the-scenes support people to encourage your work – especially at those inevitable times when you start to wonder if the Universe is actually supporting you or undermining your efforts! If you are experiencing tension now in relationships and interactions, especially with colleagues, loved ones or co-workers, ask yourself if you might be in "bulldozer mode" and trying to pressure them to do your bidding or not listening enough to their concerns. You'll find that cooperative diplomacy works much better, although don't be surprised if this is a skill you'll need to cultivate over time.

SCORPIO

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 4th House of family, Father, childhood, home base, need for nurturing, security and belonging, and the past.)

Your foundation of support people (including colleagues/associates and loved ones) is the focus now. If you've been able to cultivate that diplomacy and harmony, this is a time when you can draw on your support system to help you put your plans into action and start building the nest that will enable your dreams to grow and flourish. If diplomacy feels like a four-letter word, you may find that you have to be your own support system, in partnership with the Universe. But either way you won't be alone, and your natural resourcefulness will go a long way to bridge any gap between what you have and what you need. Your dealings with people now can probably work better if done quietly and behind the scenes. Strive for stimulating debate rather than argument, and for a two-way dance of give and take rather than just one of you controlling the dance (which is likely to trigger old frustrations from the past). For the next few weeks, watch for subtle yet generous blessings from the Universe, which could take the form of money, resources, rejuvenation of love and beauty, creative inspiration, forgiveness, or simply a deeper sense of being a Child of the Universe.

SAGITTARIUS

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 9th House of spirituality, beliefs, truth-seeking, justice, philosophy, knowledge, teaching/learning, publishing, long-distance travel, foreign lands and languages, and multiculturalism.)

Like the title of Cheri Huber's book says: "That Which You Are Seeking Is Causing You to Seek." The truth and insight you are looking for is also looking for you. It can be found in the intuitive information that resonates deep inside you – in the conversations you share and in the (deceptively) simple experiences of your everyday environment. The trick is that nothing is what it appears to be – what seems to be straightforward on the surface is actually saturated with magical and trans-personal implications. A simple conversation with a friend might hold a valuable clue. A dream may reflect a side of yourself that you hadn't seen before. The passionate exploration of spiritual philosophy may lead to knowledge that is concrete and practical. Friends, associates, mentors, groups and community are valuable resources during this quest – so much so that you might be tempted to just accept what others say and not go further to discover your own truth, which would be a shame. You may feel compelled to make solid plans to put this truth-seeking into practice, although it could be a couple of weeks or more before you are ready to make your move. Don't let yourself be intimidated or pressured into acting before you are ready, but don't be lulled into passive resignation either. The right time will come. Like Radar says in M*A*S*H, "Wait for it!"

SAGITTARIUS

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your solar 3rd House of intellect, communication, ideas, perceptions, learning, neighbours, commerce, short-distance travel, and information exchange.)

It's time to take all that inspiration, knowledge, philosophy and spiritual exploration that you've been doing since the New Moon and divide it up into bite-size chunks that reflect the bigger picture, yet are easily digestible by the conscious mind. This might be in the form of writing, emailing, conversation, teaching, or just gaining more information that helps you put it all together. Your presence and force of personality can be helpful in transforming and adapting large-scale knowledge, wisdom and broad perspectives into information, data and ideas that can be understood by a group, community or the average person. Networking with friends, associates and groups is just as important and beneficial now, although possibly a bit more in the background than they were at the New Moon. However, they will increasingly become resources for useful contacts, mediation, community support, socializing and/or income, especially toward the end of the month. What may have begun as an urge to bring your philosophy, beliefs and expanding horizons down into a more concise form, now becomes a drive to take methodical steps to clarify ambiguous ideas. This is a time to carry out concrete plans for manifesting a dream, or to take new learning about a broad subject and apply it in a practical, analytical or systematic way. This may be a bit stressful, since it's not always easy to combine practical action with intuitive or creative vision, but if you can look beyond the stress you'll find some solid motivation and resolve (hopefully more than just stubbornness).

CAPRICORN

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 8th House of power, empowerment, control, intensity, deep psychology, death, rebirth, transformation and sexuality.)

Pursuing your passionate ambitions requires a deeper look at what is really important to you and how much your current situation reflects and supports those priorities. This may manifest in more concrete ways, such as dealing with financial institutions and assessing your own financial state of affairs, or engaging in power struggles with people over principles and ideals. But there is an undercurrent here that suggests something more personal is happening. With Saturn (your ruling planet) having just changed signs, your focus has also shifted toward an exploration of the deeper passions and convictions that make your hard work worth the effort. This lunar cycle introduces you to a longer process of rooting out old stale plans, discovering what really moves you, and formulating new goals that are more relevant to who you are now. This current step in the long-term process involves taking stock of what you already have in place – the fruits of past achievements – and assessing whether your current resources can serve your future ambitions. You may find that your personal aspirations seem to conflict with or get lost in the idealized vision of where you think you should be (or be going) in your life by now, and this could set you up to feel discouraged or question your competence. To help you get back on track and balanced, seek out teachers, mentors, counsellors and advisors, who can help you find a broader understanding of what you're going through and help you formulate a new sense of direction that more accurately reflects your heartfelt passion. Don't expect to move forward with your plans just yet though; spend a bit more time refining and laying the groundwork first.

CAPRICORN

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your 2nd House of finances, income, expenses, possessions, resources, self-worth, and material security and values.)

You are in a better position now to start moving ahead with your plans, or at least to see a clearer view of where you want to go. Resources now become the focus of your goals – both in terms of putting together the material support you need to pursue your passionate ambitions, and in terms of networking with the people who can be future resources for you. Whether your plans involve something specific (for example, a new career path or financing a project), or whether you are focused in a more personal growth process (for instance, developing greater self-confidence or learning to empower yourself when conflicts of interest come up), your first step is to determine and gather the building blocks you will need to achieve your goals. Operating behind the scenes now can help to avoid or ease any tendency to flip-flop between the diverse priorities and interests of your own and others'. But there's a fine line between working discretely behind the scenes versus being deceptive by having secret agendas – be careful you don't get so cloak-and-dagger about it that it sets off alarm bells of suspicion (your own or others'). Stay focused on the integrity of what you are aiming for and what your priorities are, and allow that to direct your actions.

AQUARIUS

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 7th House of Significant Others, relationships, partnerships, inter-connectedness with others, style of interaction, and balance.)

With Saturn (one of your ruling planets) having just moved into your solar 7th house of relationships and interaction, these areas are now the focus of a long-term process (a couple of years) of restructuring and reprioritizing. This lunar cycle brings the first step in this process – to examine what happens to you when you are closely connected to other people. This could manifest in a variety of ways: For example, you might feel that your individual interests get a bit lost in the shuffle in relationships. Or, you might feel that your freedom needs in close relationships fall short of your ideal vision. Or, you may have a spouse, partner or close friend who is struggling with problems, which you feel helpless to do anything about. And talking about the problems may be difficult right now. One thing that can help you find a balance point is to take a broad perspective on the situation, and to focus on your options and what the situation can teach you (or your Significant Other). In an effort to find a fast and easy remedy to the problems, there is some risk of getting locked into "Pollyanna syndrome" (being overly optimistic and in denial about the hard realities), or you might try to impose your own truth and solutions. It will help if you keep an eye on how your own personal agenda might be lurking in disguise, which most likely is rooted in unconscious issues from the past, and which may indicate an inherent limitation to the situation that you may not be able to completely resolve. The question then becomes: Can you adapt to whatever can't be fixed, and if so, how? You will probably have to ponder this and get more information before you're ready to answer that question.

AQUARIUS

For FULL MOON in Aquarius

August 19, 2005

(Takes place in your 1st House of self, outer personality, appearance, vitality and self-assertion.)

This is your Full Moon, since it takes place in your own sign of Aquarius! That means this especially affects you, your needs and your feelings – especially in the context of the relationship issues you've been working with recently. You are in a better position to see the ambiguities and complexities of your situation now, and to put into words what you feel needs to change. Communication with Significant Others (SOs) if probably easier now, although what needs to be said may still not be easy. You will need to empower yourself by finding a position that is detached without being disconnected, and which is in control without being controlling. It will help for you and the other person to explore which principles, values and opinions you share, which can be used as a common ground; then you'll be in a better position to negotiate a fair compromise in matters where you disagree. If you find that more time is needed to resolve the situation more fully, find ways to give yourselves that time; for example, try establishing a temporary or tentative solution until you are able to better understand the nature of the obstacles. In the meantime, you still have the opportunity to explore your own potentials, priorities and ideals, and it is important that you not lose faith in your own process of growth and how that influences you in relationships. Regardless of whether your current relationship challenges can be fully resolved right now, this is still a time to find a new spiritual connection between your personal self and the boundless Universe...and you just might find that one quest helps the other.

PISCES

For NEW MOON Cycle in Leo

August 4 to September 3, 2005

(Takes place in your 6th House of work and service (paid or volunteer), health and healing, analysis and organisation, and your contribution to the world.)

How much is the real You involved in your day-to-day activities, like work, self-care and being there for others? This is a surprisingly complex question that you will explore during this lunar cycle. It may be that you have recently encountered difficulties in your work situation (whether that is a job or just whatever you invest your time and energy in). Or, some health issues might be coming to a head, requiring you to make some decisions to take better care of yourself. Or, you might feel the call to be of service, like volunteer work or helping others in some way. Whatever your circumstances, part of what you may be responding to is a "Higher Calling" that involves embracing a deeper sense of devotion and spiritual ideals, which means becoming more personally involved in how you utilize these principles in your daily life. But you might feel you don't really have the time or energy to spare, or you aren't sure what you want to do that would be satisfying enough – and it is important that your personal needs and priorities be included in this equation. What can help is to take a broader viewpoint of your own priorities and your spiritual principles, and find a perspective that includes both, instead of feeling you have to embrace one at the expense of the other. Doing so can empower you and help you feel a bit less overwhelmed. You may be bursting with ideas that can't be put into action right away; or find that trying to put your quest into words just deteriorates into argument; or you might be completely stumped and frustrated. This is likely temporary (blame it on Mercury retrograde). It would probably be wise to avoid final decisions just yet, and instead meditate on your ideas and aspirations for a bit longer.

(Takes place in your 12th house of spirituality, compassion, isolation, inner focus, meditation, escapism, addiction, and universal love and beauty.)

The window between your conscious and unconscious is much more open now, allowing you to access that sense of "Higher Calling" more directly. In fact, you may be experiencing vivid dreams and psychic impressions right now that intrude into your efforts to maintain a tranquil mental focus. Your intuition is trying to tell you something. Seeing more clearly the spiritual and inspired potential of living more in sync with your spiritual Source could give rise to an impulse of wanting to act on it right away. You'll have to assess whether this is driven by clarity of vision and in-sync instinct, or by impatience, or perhaps by a fear that it will disappear if you don't grab it fast (or maybe all of the above). The broad, empowering perspective that has (hopefully) helped you maintain some balance since the New Moon can now be supported and reflected through your relationships and interactions with others (for example, a counsellor, therapist, mentor or spiritual advisor). This may help you respond to whatever necessity originally motivated your need find a better balance between your spiritual values and practical activities, and help you to integrate the personal with the trans-personal aspects of your life.
