NEW MOON in CAPRICORN

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

Pay special attention to your ambitions and plans over the next couple of weeks. There is the potential to turn them into manifestations later in the year. You will have access to gifts, blessings, resources and support over the coming months, which can help you build your vision, brick by brick.

However, there's a trap hidden in this potential. There will also be the temptation to maintain such rigid control over where you're going, how you get there, and what you call success, that you could damage the very vision you want to manifest. This is similar to the idea of over-fertilizing your garden, breaking a sapling by trying to make it grow in a different direction than it wants to, or watching your plants wither away as you try not to overwater them.

The idea is to stay open. You don't have to figure it all out right now. Just decide what direction you want to go in. Feel the passion of a distant vision in your heart, and then point yourself that way. It's okay (even encouraged) to make plans and map out the practical steps that will (hopefully) get you there. However, when other influences come along and try to blow you in a different direction, don't simply slam the door in their face. You might consider if this contradictory influence has hidden benefits for you that will make your initial plan better, even if this other direction is not where you ultimately want to go. It is probably wise to stay balanced in the middle between the extremes of rejecting the new influence out of hand versus surrendering to it entirely. Stay in the struggle—stay open and learning—but don't let the struggle become a misguided destination in itself.

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

It would be understandable if you feel a bit like you're juggling a dizzying array of priorities, ideas, dreams and impulses these days. Your whole self-image and identity might feel like it's spinning around, unsure of which direction to go. Or, you might feel that circumstances are yanking you off your chosen path, which wastes your time or keeps you stuck. It may seem sometimes like all you have to do is keep the balls in the air and everything will work out—and it might. But in the meantime the stress can be enormous as you feel pressured to perform perfectly on cue and present yourself in the best possible light, even if deep down you're sure people would run screaming from the room if they really knew what you're thinking or feeling inside. ;-)

There's no doubt you've got a lot on your plate right now, perhaps making you feel like a little kid trying to do brain surgery. It's easy to forget that you are an adult with skills, life experience, perspective, knowledge and capability. If you lose sight of that, you might react defensively by "showing off" – pumping up your confidence and presence to be "larger than life," in order to hide the imperfections and insecurity that feel like they're crawling around inside you. But these are human characteristics, not deficiencies.

The point of this lesson is to avoid getting caught up in your inner turmoil by looking beyond your usual way of understanding yourself and your situation. You'll need to find a safe space to do this, like a quiet room or a walk through an uplifting place in nature or writing in your private journal. Give your worries, anxiety, nervousness and insecurity a chance to say what's on their mind. Then step outside yourself a bit and look at your situation in a different way. Humour or absurdity can help. Drawing on a philosophical perspective that shows the higher potential in your situation could also help. The idea is to expand your mind a bit so that you can see that you are more than your current situation. Just keep it real and trust the process.
