Lunar Forecast for the

NEW MOON in LEO

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

This is not a time to be overly cautious, inhibited or self-deprecating. This is a time to find ways to release your inner show-off and be playful with life! The collection of qualities and quirks that make you unique are itching to come out and play. Mind you, this doesn't mean it's wise to strip naked and run down Main Street. A certain amount of decorum and discretion is a good balance to letting your Wild Thing run loose. However, it is a good time to take a fresh look at what might be holding that wild part of you back, and whether those reasons still fit you.

With so much change going on these days, it's easy to get stressed out and overwhelmed. Our instinctive reaction to feeling like that is often to batten down the hatches and lay low until it blows over. Under these conditions, courage may become focused on safety priorities and trying to regain control over a situation that can feel like it's slipping through your fingers. While this is understandable, it can also hinder personal growth from being afraid that doing something new and different could just make the situation worse.

And yet, the coming 4 weeks offer a challenge to try on some new ideas. Take a situation in which you feel cautious, withdrawn, scared or dismayed. Identify all the things about that situation that trouble you. Then imagine those things in a totally absurd, unexpected or funny context. For example, imagine yourself public speaking in front of an audience dressed only in neon coloured pyjamas. Or, if you're interviewing for a new job, imagine that you are the most qualified person in the world and you're just doing this for fun, and be playful with it! It might be wise to do this only in your imagination, not during your interview, but you get the idea. Looking at your fears, concerns, obstacles and self-doubt from an entirely different point of view can help you loosen up the part of you that wants to dive under a rock until it's all over. The idea is to focus on something outside of those feelings so that you can come back to yourself fresh and embrace all that you are – not just the parts that are stressed out but also the parts that are playful, curious, inventive and joyful. Laughter is your best buddy right now!

SECOND FULL MOON in AQUARIUS

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

What's next in your life? Are you aware that you are approaching a time of transition and change? With all the turmoil around us in the world these days, it's easy to want to just dial it all back and return to what seems like a better past. But change is inevitable, and you can only move forward into a new future now. This is a time to envision what that future could hold for you, good and bad. Perhaps you're approaching the end of something in your life – you might be leaving your job, ending a relationship, moving to a new location or grieving the loss of someone close to you. This is the time to start imagining what will lie beyond this ending. Or maybe you already have something waiting for you on the next horizon, in which case it's time to say goodbye to the familiar present so that you can encounter your future unencumbered by baggage from the past.

Alternatively, you might look warily at your future and see yourself struggling with the consequences of choices you've made in the past or are making in the present. That can be a scary prospect, to be sure, and it might be tempting to want to put the brakes on and avoid those consequences. However, change is inevitable – it's just a question of when and how you meet it. It helps to be ready for change, not necessarily to resign yourself to the worst possible scenario. Rather, you have a chance to gather resources around you that support you as you move through the wave of change, and plan how you can steer yourself in a better direction for the next cycle. Sometimes even a small modification in what you do or how you do it, or how you think about it, can be enough to start a ripple of pro-active change.

More than simply altering something, it's important to envision the better possibilities that your journey could hold beyond the upcoming horizon of change. You're approaching a time of transition, and this is when you have a chance to make not just little adjustments but to even point yourself in the direction of your dreams. This is important because there is another energy in the skies during the last half of August that challenges you to pro-actively move toward those dreams. This is likely to feel stressful, demanding and sometimes overwhelming or discouraging, but it's important to keep moving forward, guided by your vision of what could be. Although you may have to choose one among many possibilities to pursue, it's important to consider all of those options. You could be confronted by numerous priorities that may well conflict with each other, and you are challenged to find ways to deal with them all, even if that means compromising a bit of your ideal vision. Stay true to the essence of that vision and allow it to guide you through the maze of decisions.
