Lunar Forecast for the

NEW MOON in LEO

This Forecast in effect
July 26 to August 10, 2014

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

You're entering a lunar cycle (4 weeks) where you have a chance to be impressively creative, productive and effective. You may feel immensely inspired or uplifted with a surge of self-confidence and renewed belief in your ability to do whatever you set your mind to. This is heady stuff! Like a fine wine or liqueur, this is best absorbed in savouring sips rather than trying to chug it in huge gulps. Allow it to soak in, layer by layer, as you grow in courage and clarity.

And yes, there's always a catch, right? The catch is that in order to get the most out of basking in this sunshine, you may need to embrace the shadow of self-confidence and vitality. I'm talking about woundedness – that part in each of us that feels like you're trying to run a race with only one leg, or the secret worry that good times never last and will crumble when you reach the point of feeling too good about life. One could evoke the other – good times and courage sometimes rebound into fears that there's something hiding in the dark corners that's just waiting to trip you up.

And yet, even if something does happen that seems to cancel out the good stuff, that good feeling is still there for the taking. You are so much more than just your fears, misgivings, shortcomings or mistakes! Just because you mess up sometimes (and we all do), it doesn't mean the good parts of you are worthless. To bring all these diverse parts of yourself, it's important to be willing to accept yourself as you are – someone with good stuff, bad stuff and always a work in progress that is constantly evolving. So even when you get tripped up by the bad stuff – especially then! – remember the good stuff and celebrate it! Take some time and write down a list of things that are good about you – accomplishments, talents, skills, dreams, positive feedback from others, etc. – and pull out the list when you're feeling imperfect or unworthy. Remind yourself of the whole person you are, with a full spectrum of qualities. Celebrate the good in being alive!

FULL MOON in AQUARIUS

August 10 to 25, 2014

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

You might feel a bit split for a week or two. One part of you feels the weight of expectations, the magnitude of responsibilities, and the need to get the craziness in your life under control. Another part of you feels the call of the wild beyond the bounds of the traditional, the conventional and the safe main road. You might feel like you have to choose between them; that there's no way you could go with both of them. And yet, it's not impossible to do both – it will just take some creative thinking.

To get these star-crossed urges from annihilating each other, you need to be open to a solution that doesn't entirely satisfy either of them. You might even feel like the solution remains unfinished and the situation is still up in the air. That's okay. It doesn't have to fit neatly together like a jigsaw puzzle (and probably shouldn't). This will need to be a dynamic solution – one that you kind of make up as you go along, which still generates the results that are necessary.

In the end, you might find that what works best doesn't look at all like you thought it would. If you can "get over it" – that what works might be very different from what you were expecting or hoping for – then you just might wind up satisfying the element of the situation that requires a solid solution, while also keeping that solution from feeling like a straightjacket. Staying loose, flexible and open-minded will likely get you past what seems like an impossible obstacle.
