Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.

Mar.23 – LUNAR ECLIPSE ~ FULL MOON in LIBRA (03:17 of Libra)

There's so much going on in the chart of this Lunar Eclipse that any Libra would be forgiven for having trouble deciding what to look at first!

Let's start with the obvious: Lunar Eclipse in Libra.

A Lunar Eclipse is a very special Full Moon, when the Sun and Moon are so precisely that the Moon actually moves through the shadow cast by the Earth. The Moon turns darker and often turns orange or red due to refraction of the Sun's light.

This one is a partial eclipse (called a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse), meaning some of the Moon remains outside the shadow. The eclipse itself will last about 4 hours. Weather willing, it can be seen throughout most of Asia, Australia, North and Central America and the western half of South America.

The duration and time when you can see it will vary depending on your location. It's okay to look directly at a lunar eclipse. It's only the Solar Eclipse that you mustn't look directly at without special eye protection. Note that the time of maximum eclipse is usually different from the moment when the zodiacal opposition becomes exact.

An unexciting truth may be eclipsed
by a thrilling falsehood.
~ Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited

That's the astronomy of an eclipse. Astrologically an eclipse can be a stressful time when things don't go as planned. On a personal level, the Natal house it lands in is often affected; for example: 2nd house = finances and resources, 4th house = home and family, 6th house = health and work, 7th house = relationships and social life, 10th house = career and reputation, and so on.

For everyone, the sign is the key; in this case: Libra, and therefore it may affect one-on-one relationships, social interactions, balance and harmony, diplomacy, beautification and artistry. This eclipse might bring up issues in your relationships that you'd hoped would go away on their own. Decisions—always a challenge for Libra since it sees all sides of the situation—might be required that are difficult or impossible to resolve comfortably.

Your social life might be activated in a way that's awkward, challenging or simply needing some adjustment. Those who have been allies might show an adversarial side. In fact, your life may become focused on someone who openly challenges, contradicts, disagrees with or, at worst, may even sabotage you. While this can be uncomfortable initially, it presents an opportunity to clear the air and negotiate an agreement or compromise that will be more enduring and satisfying for all concerned.

It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.
~ Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

Mercury is tightly conjunct the Sun in the Lunar Eclipse chart. At a 20-minute orb, it just misses being Cazimi (within 17 minutes of exact) which might have greatly strengthened Mercury's energy. Instead Mercury—our thoughts, ideas, communication, perceptions—is subjugated by the Sun's bright light and can be difficult to access independently.

Both being in Aries, this means our ability to communicate clearly could become a bit tongue-tied, as actions may feel like they will speak louder than words. Specifically, quick, impulsive actions can feel more satisfying. Having to slow down long enough to find diplomatic words that won't hurt others' feelings might feel more stressful and frustrating than it's worth.

T-square aspect pattern: Venus opp Jupiter, sqr Saturn

Mars—the planetary ruler of Aries—is in Sagittarius now. Being sextile the Moon (60°) and trine the Sun and Mercury (120°), Mars forms a Wedge aspect pattern that can make those impulsive reactions even more tempting and harder to resist—even when you think that might be the wiser option.

Where Mars offers a more positive solution is through its current residence in expansive Sagittarius. By stepping back to see it all in the context of the Big Picture, you can respond in a way that speaks to the greater good of all concerned. Just be careful you don't just add fuel to the impulsive fire by taking a holier-than-thou stance that assumes you know more than anyone else and have the right to impose your truth on someone else.

Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only Beauty. There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.
~ Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

Venus is the planetary ruler of Libra, so whatever Venus is doing is important to the trajectory of the eclipse energy. In this case Venus is in her goddess mode in exquisite Pisces. Venus is potentially at her most beautiful, exalted self while in Pisces, tapping into a level of beauty, harmony and loveliness that can only be described as universal. On the other hand, that attractiveness could actually be little more than glamour and illusion that runs only skin deep and vanishes when you scratch the surface. Venus is still conjunct Neptune (0°; exact on Mar.20), which accentuates these exalted and magical Piscean qualities.

T-square aspect pattern: Venus opp Jupiter, sqr Saturn

Venus is part of a powerful T-square in Mutable signs: Venus and Neptune opposite Jupiter in Virgo (180°), and Saturn I Sagittarius squares the lot of them (90°). To make things even more interesting, Saturn is stationary and will be officially retrograde in 2 days, which makes Saturn's tune in this little ensemble heavily dominant.

Venus exalted in Pisces can amplify your appeal, grace and charm, but the Virgo side of Jupiter and that heavy, stationary Saturn could make it harder to believe in it. One hair out of place, one small freckle, a little stumble as you glide down the hall or an awkward word in your speech—any of these could lead you to question or second-guess your best qualities.

That's when it might be tempting to want to pump up your image with deception, exaggeration or trying to be something you're not in order to impress others. It's not a bad thing to amplify or capitalize on your best qualities, but don't forget that projecting something that isn't authentic won't be as powerful (or as sustainable) as if you express yourself from the heart and just be your wonderful self.

The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love
and to be greater than our suffering.
~ Ben Okri

Pluto is sextile Venus (60°) and trine Jupiter (120°), and together they form a Wedge aspect pattern. Pluto's role is to remind you that authenticity is much more powerful than anything contrived you could come up with.

T-square aspect pattern: Venus opp Jupiter, sqr Saturn

However, the road to that realization is often initiated because you start tripping over the part of you that is trying to be something you're not, because you fear you're not good enough.

Pluto is here to tell you that even just by aiming to embrace your best assets, you engage that transformation process. The part of you that thinks you should be better than (you think) you are is lovingly challenged to let go of that self-perception of inadequacy.

Instead you are encouraged to occupy a place of peaceful surrender to the idea that you're okay just the way you are.

Embellish, amplify and promote yourself as you will, but make sure you adorn your natural radiance and essence that are already there.

Who you are is enough.

Choose to let go.
Choose dignity.
Choose to forgive yourself.
Choose to forgive others.
Choose to see your value.
Choose to show the world you’re not a victim.
Choose to make us proud.
~ Shannon L. Alder

Mar.19-30 – T-square Aspect Pattern (Venus, Jupiter, Saturn)

(Repeated from last update, since it's still extremely powerful.) This is the same T-square that formed with the Sun and Moon at the Solar Eclipse (Mar.08) and also with Mercury (Mar.15). Now, for about a week, Venus tangles with the Jupiter-Saturn square to form a T-square aspect pattern, all of these planets aligning on March 25 at 16° within a teensy-weensy quarter-degree orb. Saturn stations retrograde on the same day, making his influence especially strong. And Venus also crosses over the Solar Eclipse point on Mar.27. So, this T-square could be quite powerful in its effects.

Jupiter square Saturn signifies conflict between aspirations and achievements. It poses some rather pointed questions. Have you accomplished as much of your dream as you had hoped? Have you bitten off more than you can chew in pursuing your ambitions? Have reality and making tough decisions tarnished your sense of hope and meaning? The dream of what you'd hoped to accomplish by this time traces back to around 2000 at the last Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, since this is the waning square in their combined cycle.

With Venus now involved, it is time to reconsider your dreams, aspirations and quest for meaning, especially in the context of relationships and resources. Your interactions with others might not exactly go smoothly, though, since you may find there are inhibitions, conflicts, uncomfortable boundaries or other blocks that get in the way.

T-square - Venus, Jupiter, Saturn

Hence, the need to reconsider whether you might be putting unrealistic expectations on others; or perhaps you are projecting your hopes or fears onto them without realizing it. In the area of resources (money, investments, debt or skills), this could be a time when your budget feels a bit constricted, since you might need or want to spend more than you have or should. In both cases (resources and relationships) it is a time to do a reality check about how well-balanced your actions and intentions are in those areas.

Mar.23 – Jupiter square Saturn (16:24 of Virgo/Sagittarius)

(Repeated from last update, since it's still extremely powerful.) Jupiter and Saturn have a very long combined cycle—20 years! This is the quarter-way mark (waxing square) in the current cycle, which began with the conjunction ion in Taurus back in 2000. At this stage of the cycle, you are challenged to make a deeper commitment to long-term projects, goals and growth that have started to emerge in your life since 2000. It is a time to evaluate your development since then. "What development?" you might ask. Five years is a long time to think back and compare to the present day.

At that time you might have experienced the end of certain hopes and dreams, although this cleared the way for new ones, which are now starting to take shape. In 2000 you might also have found your spiritual beliefs, practices and faith changing, perhaps to make them more applicable to your physical circumstances. Or, you might have wanted to find a more spiritual, uplifting and optimistic understanding of the external world of cause and effect. So, think back to 2000 and the far-reaching changes that were starting to take place in your life then. What has happened as a result of those changes? Where are you now in the long-term process that has unfolded since then? And where would you like to be five years from now on this journey?

The 3 passes of this transit form a process of committing to a more conscious focus in order to achieve your long-term goal. Is there anything about your goal or plan that needs to be adjusted or changed now? What's holding you back from taking the next step? What dreams, inspiration, knowledge, perspective, faith or optimism can carry you beyond this point? What must you do now to get back on track, or to ensure that you stay on track? This is a major turning point in your process, and the turn will take almost a year to complete. This is a good time to check in with your goals and reaffirm the inspiration that motivated you to begin your direction 5 years ago and where you want to be in another 5 years.

This is the second of 3 passes of this transit: Aug.03.2015, Mar.23.2016 and May.26.2016.

Mar.23 – Sun conjunct Mercury (03:37 of Aries)  (Mar.24 in AU)

During this transit, your sense of self and purpose can become merged with what you think, perceive and say. On one hand, this can make for an easy flow of ideas and communication from inside your brain to the external world. It can also increase your perceptions and observations of the world, as you file it all away in your internal database. On the other hand, you may find yourself a bit tongue-tied, as it could be hard to separate your sense of self from your perceptions and ideas enough to find the words to adequately express them. In that case, just observe and go with the flow; the words will come later. It can also be a time when it's not easy to be objective, especially about yourself and how you bring yourself to the world around you. It's like your Being automatically expresses and sets into motion the things you think, perceive and want to say. This can help you to feel like your sense of self is shining effortlessly, but if your thoughts and perceptions are in conflict with other parts of you (e.g., emotions, needs, objectivity) then it might become a time when you act a little too quickly with blinders on. Strive for balance and self-honesty before you act.

Mar.24 – Chiron conjunct South Lunar Node (21:49 of Pisces/Virgo)  (Mar.23 in HAST, AKDT, PDT, MDT)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

When Chiron opposes the North Lunar Node, it is conjunct the South Lunar Node. Whereas the North Node is about embracing, confronting, moving toward or taking in a certain focus, energy or intention, the South Node is about loss, letting go, resolving and integrating in order to move on. Although the Chiron-Node transit is exact today, it has been within 8° of exact since Dec.26.2015 and will remain within that orb until Jun.08.2016. This is the only pass of this transit during the current Chiron-Node cycle.

When Chiron conjoins the South Node, it is a time to let go of old suffering, woundedness and futile struggle. There may be a battle in your life that can't be won, and it's time to cut your losses and move on. Perhaps there is a conflict that is unresolvable – not all of the problem can be repaired. It tends to be a time to accept that sometimes you can't solve a problem 100%.

What is called for is to let go of the part that can't be fixed. This might feel like a very difficult task. It means finding peace by co-existing with something may feel intolerable, unacceptable or impossible; yet it is necessary to find a way to do this in order to let go and get on with your life. What evokes this process may be an acutely painful awareness of that distressing situation or experience. As the saying goes, you can't heal it if you can't feel it, or acknowledge it.

At the same time, it can also be a time to step up your efforts to deal with that which can be changed and improved. And ironically, both of these can lead to the same result of changing what you can and coming to peace with what you can't.

Therefore, take some time to just sit with and think about the difficult experiences coming up in your life right now. Suspend your reactions to it and the urge to valiantly do battle with it, and just explore within yourself what kinds of feelings, expectations, fears and struggles that it brings up in you. Think about past situations (especially that can be traced back to the last conjunction (see date below) and how you were able to deal with them back then. Take stock of what you have done to try to improve the situation. Grieve your failures but don't get stuck there. Acknowledge what worked (even just partly) and what didn't, and give yourself credit for both your successes and your efforts that fell short of a perfect solution.

What has helped you accept a less than perfect answer to a problem in the past? What kind of people have supported you to get over that hump, and what did they do to help you through that time? Even if those people are no longer in your life, you can help yourself in similar ways or find new people who could give you that support.

Chiron is opposite the North Node in: 1906, 1922, 1937, 1948, 1961, 1977, 1991, 2001, 2016, 2031, 2044, 2056.

Dates for the current Chiron-Node cycle:

Mar.24 – Mercury trine Mars (05:50 of Aries/Sagittarius)  (Mar.25 in AU)

It may be easy to find the courage to speak your mind and say what needs to be said under this transit. In fact, your ideas and words may come so quickly and easily that it's hard to stop them from tumbling out of your mouth before you've had a chance to evaluate the best way to say them. Your communication is likely to be direct, concise and right on the mark, even if it might also be a bit blunt or pointed. If you need to confront someone about a difficult situation, this transit can provide courage and clear words to help you do that – although perhaps not as good for a situation requiring a more delicate, sensitive touch. It is a time when you could potentially find the nerve to take risks, or to defend yourself if the need arises (especially verbally). Overall, this is a wonderful transit for anything involving direct communication (e.g., public speaking, writing, debating), as well as mental agility (e.g., generating ideas, finding solutions, making decisions).

Mar.25 – Saturn Stationary Retrograde (16:24 of Sagittarius; until Aug.13)  ("What's a Station?"  "What does Retrograde mean?"  Read more about Retrograde planets.)

For up to a week before and after this date, your physical and emotional energy may feel a bit heavy, stuck, serious or sad. You might feel held back by circumstances or pressured by people or situations involving structure, rules, authority figures, expectations and responsibilities. For about the next four months, your ambitions and goals can benefit from planning and development at a deeper level. It is a time to rework and refine your goals to figure out how you are going to achieve them. You may also need to examine your motives for wanting to achieve these goals, as well as how feasible they are. You may therefore look at how your goals, or your method of achieving them, ought to be changed. This can also be a time of improving how you deal with authority, expectations, obligations or discipline. Toward that end, today's station could trigger these issues through events, conflicts, challenges or additional "homework." If you've been having problems or are uncomfortable with these areas, especially during the last 3 months, this retrograde period can allow you to gradually build a new way of dealing with them or problem-solving the difficulties. After Saturn turns Direct in 4 months, you will be in a better position to apply what you've learned and developed more fully.

Mar.25 – Venus opposite Jupiter (16:09 of Pisces/Virgo)

This is a time when your desire for pleasure is wide open. Sexual desire could reach out using seduction. Desire for delightful tastes could become overindulgence in foods that may not be in the best interest of your health (e.g., sweets, alcohol, etc.). Spending can be impulsive and easily grow beyond your budget. Money-making opportunities could spill over into workaholic obsession. It might feel like nothing is "enough" and you feel compelled to continually reach out for more and more – a bottomless well of desire. On the other hand, this energy can also bring out your natural beauty and charm in social situations if you are shy or inhibited. If you've done your research and your comparative shopping, this could be the time you make a big purchase. Or you might find the feeling is right to make your move with a love interest and expand your intimate connection with that person. Or perhaps you feel generous and decide to donate your money or talents to a cause that reaches for a higher purpose. Enjoy, but don't blow your budget.

Mar.25 – Venus square Saturn (16:24 of Pisces/Sagittarius)  (Mar.26 in AU)

Finances, relationships, social contacts and/or pleasures may seem blocked or require extra effort right now. Manifesting your desires may require added hard work, but this struggle could also bring you closer to your goals. It may feel like there is a huge rock blocking your path that keeps you from fulfilling your heart's desire. It may be necessary to face some difficult aspect of your situation before it is possible to know how to proceed. This is ultimately a problem to be solved by confronting that which is unrealistic, unworkable, or just not in your best interest. This can also be a time when you arrive at a crossroads and must make some firm choices, or when circumstances might force you to change your direction. This transit can make your choice clear, although it might not be the one you hoped for.

Mar.26 – Sun trine Mars (06:11 of Aries/Sagittarius)

Your energy, purpose, vitality and health are likely to be strong and clear during this transit. Your sense of purpose is supported by your ability to assert yourself and take a stand for what you want and what you believe in. In general, this transit is a great time to take action, especially if you have prepared the way and have all your ducks in a row. If you've been waiting for a spurt of self-confidence or motivation, this transit could give you the push you need to move forward in your plans or goals. Strive to be spontaneous rather than impulsive, and confident rather than arrogant.

Mar.26 – Venus sextile Pluto (17:21 of Pisces/Capricorn)

Close one-on-one relationships with people (close friends, lovers, partners of all kinds) could possibly benefit by being taken to a deeper level now, through creatively combining balanced harmony with deep connection. Just be careful that intimacy and bonding don't go over the top into obsession or domination. There is a brief opportunity now to become more authentic in how you relate to those close to you and how you establish a balance of power with them. The trick is to do this without trying to suppress, control or overpower the other person's interests. Financially, it is a time when you may have an opportunity to profit in your dealings with banks, insurance companies, taxes, and other institutions that deal with collective money.

Mar.27 – UK and Europe change to Daylight Saving Time

If your region observes Daylight Saving Time and you live in the UK, Europe or around the Middle East, it's time to move your clocks one hour FORWARD. If you're not sure, check the change dates for your location on DateAndTime.com.

Mar.29 – Venus conjunct South Lunar Node (21:37 of Pisces)  (Mar.30 in AU)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

This is a good time to let go of the "things" you don't need anymore. It's a time to release your creativity and transform them into new resources and assets. This could mean cleaning out your closets and selling the discards in a yard sale, for example. You might decide to change your hair style or something else about your appearance. Perhaps you discover that you're making a different impression on people than you intended, and this leads to a revision of your social skills. Or you could get feedback from someone close to you that challenges you to change your self-image. Something (or someone) that has been prominent in your life – in relationships, pleasure, partnerships, finances, possessions, beauty or appearance – is ready to be let go. You might need to say good-bye to someone you've been close to because the relationship isn't working anymore – or you might find you're able to let go of feelings that have been blocked and give yourself to a connection with someone. You might simply assimilate it into the background where it is no longer "front and centre," or you might need to cut ties altogether. Or, you could be ready to express something that has been brewing for a while, like creative self-expression or giving someone feedback. "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" (as your grandmother used to say), but be on the lookout for something that is ready to subside from your priority list.

Mar.29 – Mercury trine Saturn (16:23 of Aries/Sagittarius)  (Mar.30 in ADT, NDT, UK, AU)

It can be easier to take a logical, practical approach to problem-solving and pursuit of your goals now. Your mental outlook is likely to be calm and grounded. This is a good time to make plans and work out the logistics of how you're going to get from "here" to "there" in pursuing your goals. You may find it's time to bring closure to finished goals by distilling and systemizing what you've learned in the process of pursuing those past goals. Or, you might find you are able to draw on past achievements to assist and support your current goals and plans. It is a good transit to bring structure to your thoughts and communication. You may find it's a little easier to accept authority – yours or someone else's – and that you are able to speak authoritatively about things about which you have knowledge or experience.

Mar.30 – Venus conjunct Chiron (22:11 of Pisces)  (Mar.29 in HAST)

Unresolved problems and old wounds in relationships and finances may be in the foreground now, with potential for a new beginning and healing. However, in order to heal something, it is first necessary to become more aware of what is out of balance, which can make a situation seem to get worse before it gets better. You have the ability to wound those close to you, as well as to bring healing, as you explore what is and isn't working in your relationships. It is also a time when your approach to finances and resources may require that you face some hard realities that may not be easily or quickly resolved, but dealing with any problems will give you the chance to achieve a new balance. This is especially true when it comes to the ways that you see your physical resources as a reflection of your self-worth, and the relationships in your life as a reflection of your lovability. These issues may become aggravated under this transit, but ultimately this is meant to increase your awareness of these issues so that you can start to heal them in new ways.

Mar.30 – Mercury square Pluto (17:23 of Aries/Capricorn)  (Mar.31 in AU)

You are faced now with a challenge to empower your communication and perceptions, although this may not come easily. It could involve having to face some rather difficult truths that might be a bit disturbing or hard to accept. However in doing so, you gain a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself, your situation and your role within it. Obsessive or persistent thoughts that are morbid or paranoid are possible, which could be helped by finding something more positive to focus on or a creative outlet. Communication (from others or yourself or both) could be intense, intimidating or even downright damaging, since it may be tempting to get caught up in power struggles and domination. But communication can also be used now to heal, by cutting through hypocrisy and insincerity in order to reach a deeper authenticity and truth – like lancing a boil so that healing can take place.

Mar.31 – Mercury conjunct Uranus (19:56 of Aries)  (Apr.01 in AU)

Communication and thoughts can be radical, spontaneous, unusual and uncharacteristic under this transit. You may be compelled to speak your mind to say things you've held back from saying before now. However, as the saying goes, there is a risk of "shooting off your mouth before your brains are loaded." It is a time when you are likely to be open-minded and flexible in your perceptions. Our eyes are wide open, and as a result, we may be a bit shocked, surprised or stunned by what we see. This can also release our creative genius and bring inspired clarity, especially as we look to the future. Encounters with groups, friends and the greater community are also possible at this time.

Apr.03 – Australia changes to Standard Time

If your region observes Daylight Saving Time and you live in Australia or other nearby regions, it's time to move your clocks one hour BACK. If you're not sure, check the change dates for your location on DateAndTime.com.

Apr.05 – Sun trine Saturn (16:18 of Aries/Sagittarius)  (Apr.06 in AU)

This is a great time to apply yourself to serious work. You may feel especially self-sufficient and independent, with a strong and clear sense of self and purpose. There is support for your ambitions as long as you stay grounded and practical in how you approach them, which should come easily right now. Your ability to cooperate and feel comfortable with authority figures is likely to be high, along with your capacity to embrace your own authority and make solid decisions. This is a time when you are more likely to feel grounded and deal with problems in a practical, decisive way. Your energy may be more serious than "party animal," but even if you are in "party mode" it will be easier to realistically know your limits and not overdo it. If you've been waiting for the right time to move forward with or manifest a project or plan that you've been putting together (or wanting to), this could be the time when that happens. The final launch or manifestation may or may not happen now, but you will probably be able to at least move forward in some important steps.

Apr.05 – Venus enters Aries (until Apr.29)  (Apr.06 in AU)

Your style of handling relationships, finances, resources and values now take on an attitude of assertiveness, directness and the pursuit of freedom and independence. Impulse buying may be a stronger temptation than usual, so be sure you can afford whatever it is! Your way of interacting may be somewhat more direct, open or flirtatious during this transit. You may have opportunities to acquire money quickly and casually...and spend it too! You may also be more open to trying new things in the areas of finances, relationships, interactions and your values. Trying out new ideas can take you into uncharted territory...which may or may not be welcome depending on how comfortable you are with change. But this still may be just what you need to get you out of a rut in the affected areas. This can also be a good time to celebrate and appreciate yourself just as you are, as a unique individual.

Apr.05 – Mercury enters Taurus (until Jun.12)  (Apr.06 in UK, AU)

Thoughts, communication and analysis work best when they are careful and methodical, during this transit. Your mental attitude and awareness may be somewhat serious and conservative – or down-to-earth, relaxed, and grounded in simple pleasures. Your perceptions may be a little slower to form, and you may have to search a little longer to find the right words. But there is also an increased ability to savour and appreciate your experiences more, and it can be a time when you can relax and recharge your mental batteries. You might find that your body instincts and sensory experience give you more information than your conscious thoughts. This is a good time to plan out how to manifest the ideas that sprang from your imagination in the past several weeks. Take your best ideas, perceptions and words and sow them like seeds. Then watch them grow over time.

Mercury stays in Taurus an unusually long time because it goes retrograde while in Taurus (Apr.28 to May.22). More about that later!

Apr.06 – Sun square Pluto (17:27 of Aries/Capricorn)  (Apr.07 in AU)

This can be a challenging time, when your sense of purpose, identity and direction may feel blocked, overpowered or regulated by forces beyond your control. You may find yourself confronted by difficult situations or people, requiring that you rally an unusually strong show of power to keep from feeling powerless or overwhelmed. The trick is to center yourself in empowerment rather than simple power – that means your power comes from within yourself rather than from controlling people and situations outside of yourself. You might find yourself involved in power struggles or abandonment, either in the present or stirred up from the past. You might be forced to let go of your attachment to something or someone due to circumstances beyond your control. However, this can also be a time when you reach inside yourself and find you have more strength than you thought you did. Adversity may inspire new assertiveness and purpose in you – empowerment born of conflict and struggle.
