Lunar Forecast for the

NEW MOON in ARIES

This Forecast in effect
April 7 to 22, 2016

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

This year is likely to be a pretty wild ride! No shortage of excitement, no place for boredom and no lack of possibilities. You want change? How badly? There is powerful energy coming together this year that can become fuel to generate a lot of change in your life. Want to become more empowered, independent, self-sufficient or confident? Want to connect with your better nature and avoid the temptations of your less constructive impulses? The next couple of weeks offer some extra courage, daring and motivation to do that.

The trick is that some of it is likely to be heavy, difficult or demanding. Success will work best when you really strengthen your resolve and tap into your passion to stay on track. It's bound to be a bumpy road, so it may be necessary to hold on tight and keep refocusing on your goal if you get jostled out of your centre. If you get discouraged, take some time out to find out what is dragging you down from inside.

Don't be surprised if your energy takes a dive for a few days, around April 16-19. Do what you need to do to conserve and fortify your energy. Get enough sleep, eat properly – living a healthy lifestyle is bound to help. You might also find you are short-tempered, irritable and incapable of suffering fools gladly (or any other way). Again: slow down, take care of yourself (especially on the inside) and try not to smite anyone.

FULL MOON in SCORPIO

April 22 to May 6, 2016

The Lunar Forecasts give Daily Horoscopes a greater context.

If you're feeling the rumbling of something deep inside that feels like it could disrupt your business-as-usual life in some way, then you're right on cue. There's a lot being stirred up right now from deep down that might jump into your awareness unexpectedly, erratically or sporadically. For example, you might feel intense anger or powerful passion toward someone or something, which feels sharper or fiercer than you would expect, given the situation. Or, you might find yourself becoming obsessed over something or someone that isn't cooperating with the result you're hoping for. Or, you might be caught between the proverbial rock and the hard place, trying to decide between something that's exciting but may not last versus something that is more strenuous but possibly more rewarding in the end.

How to choose? How to deal with a dilemma? How to find a calm centre in what feels like a cyclone? Even the most necessary task or obligation needs your heartfelt commitment in order to succeed. If you only go through the motions, you probably won't be very happy with the result (and neither will anyone else). A heartfelt commitment requires heart. Find something you enjoy about it, even if it's just one aspect of the task. Hate filling out tax forms? Try using coloured pens to make it a little less boring. Or dream about how you'll spend your tax return (even if you're not sure you'll get one). Or think about how good it will feel to finally be finished, even if the final number isn't what you'd hoped.

The next several weeks may be better suited to finishing up old projects or doing your homework before embarking on a new project. If you're feeling stuck in frustration about not being able to move ahead as quickly as you would like, consider that you may first need to complete something or let go of something or redo something before you can produce the outcome you want. For best results, find ways to do it enjoyably, passionately, effectively and meaningfully.
