Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.

May.06 – NEW MOON in TAURUS (16:41 of Taurus)

In the archetypal progression of the zodiac, Taurus is the first Earth sign.

After the primal outburst of all that Aries energy (a Cardinal Fire sign), something more stable, predictable and controllable is needed to keep that energy from burning itself out.

Enter Taurus. This Fixed Earth sign is just what the zodiacal doctor ordered. Taurus has all the qualities necessary to counterbalance Aries. It is steady, consistent, grounded and measured.

Taurus is the perfect container in which to harness and manage the Aries drive and impulsiveness.

But Taurus isn't simply a stop sign on the Aries road; it provides a balance that produces the best of both worlds. Aries passion and Taurus pleasure. Aries enthusiasm and Taurus tenacity. Horse and harness. Taurus is the substance that can sustain the Aries force like wood sustains a fire.

The down side of Taurus is when you have so much substance that the fiery energy becomes suffocated. That's when you get stuck in laziness or lethargy. You need Fire to get you moving again, but Taurus can be slow to heat up. For example, when Mars is in Taurus he is unusually patient and calm, but when that Taurus container finally heats up he can explode in all directions, sending all around you diving for cover.

Taurus has more inertia than any other sign – it's a double whammy of bringing Earth and Fixed qualities together, both of which prefer their expression to be evenly-paced. It is stubborn, persistent, tenacious, unhurried, and it doesn't like to make sudden or fast changes. This can be a good or a bad thing, depending on the situation.

So, if what you're doing is working for you, or if you need to make gradual, careful change, Taurus will help you keep it going. But if you're having problems and need to deal with urgent change – to speed up or slow down; to change direction or maintain a certain direction; to get something moving or to bring closure – Taurus can make the process frustratingly long, difficult and arduous.

This New Moon has plenty of Taurus energy – not only the Sun and Moon but also Mercury and Venus. Venus is the planetary ruler of Taurus, so she gets extra points! Venus is also the Final Dispositor of the chart, so she racks up even more points for Taurus.

This lunar cycle, you could possibly be unusually prone to getting stuck in slow motion or spinning your wheels. You might have to push a little harder to keep up a productive pace. On the other hand, you might already be moving at a steady clip. If you're getting positive results then this lunar cycle could help you keep up a good, solid pace to continue whatever you're doing. However, if the outcome is not in your best interest then all that Taurus could just make it harder to slow down and change direction.

We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.
~ Anaïs Nin

But then there's Mercury who is currently retrograde (in case you hadn't noticed...), which could bog down your mental processes somewhat, especially when making decisions or trying to figure out the best way to go about something.

With Mercury being in Taurus, this may be a good time to rethink your strategy on things like budget, investments, purchases, savings, and especially the long-term path from here to there. For example: this is around tax time for a lot of people, so if you're about to submit yours (or just did recently), it might be wise to go back and double-check that all your numbers are as they should be.

(And speaking of Mercury, see below for information about the upcoming rare "Transit of Mercury!" With the right equipment you'll be able to see Mercury actually crossing the face of the Sun.)

In addition, Mars is also retrograde right now (in case you hadn't noticed...). All that fiery Mars energy can be felt internally more than usual. Watch out for harsh self-talk, reactions of being quick to judge or criticize, or trying to express the truth so directly and purely that you leave strips behind as people back away in a wounded stupor. ;-)

Mars is in Sagittarius so it's done with the best of intentions—but remember that Mars's scalpel has a very sharp edge and is best used cautiously and carefully. A good surgeon makes sure his/her patient is ready for the procedure and assesses how much intervention is truly necessary for the best effect.

You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
~ Desiderata by Max Ehrmann

What makes this lunar chart especially interesting is the Mutable T-square. Well okay, it's not the only interesting thing but, in true Taurus style, let's pace ourselves through the "interesting" bits.

Jupiter. Opposite Neptune. Squared by Saturn. Need I say more? Ya okay, I guess I should...

Jupiter aspires. In its core energy it looks to the greater possibilities, the Big Picture and to the idealized Greater Good. This doesn't blend easily with Taurus, since Taurus prefers to be focused on the here-and-now, this delicious present moment and to the practicality of whatever works.

Mutable T-square - Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn

Jupiter is essentially stationary right now, travelling at a mere crawl as he gets ready to turn Direct in 3 days. That makes Jupiter energy extra strong, with an emphasis on perfecting how we apply our moral values.

We may also be trying to squeeze as much of the Big Picture as possible through the eye of the needle with which we stitch the tapestry of our lives. It may be easy to become overwhelmed by an ever increasing to-do list. The Taurus New Moon can remind us to pace ourselves and tackle life "one trauma at a time" where possible.

Currently Jupiter is in a fellow Earth sign, Virgo, making a harmonious connection. So Taurus has some common ground with Jupiter at the moment. However, Jupiter isn't comfortable in Virgo, being "in detriment" in that sign. That means Jupiter is tethered to the ground by minutia when he would rather be soaring up to the mountaintop in search of a higher perspective.

So it's not exactly a match made in heaven but there is a trine aspect (120°) with the Sun and Moon (i.e. the New Moon), so there is the potential for Jupiter to provide some motivational inspiration for greater possibilities to the "I'm-already-tranquil-enough-thank-you" Taurus.

In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it's wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.
~ Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

Neptune inspires. Its core quality is about surrender, merging with its surroundings and trusting that "the universe is unfolding as it should." Sounds awesome and wonderful! Where Neptune goes off the rails is when we try to distinguish between the true Universe and a wishful mirage of what we want it to be.

Mutable T-square - Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn

So, in that sense, Neptune can be the bringer of ecstatic bliss and peace, or it can be the bringer of nightmares when we realize we've been deceived—usually by our own stubborn attachment to what we want that Universe to be. This is emphasized by Neptune being in its own sign, Pisces (by modern rulership), so Neptune is in its element there. We're all swimming through a double dose of Pisces from 2011 to 2025 (when it entered and will leave that sign).

Jupiter opposes Neptune, which pits two different sides of Pisces against each other. The usually expansive Jupiter right now is trapped in a Virgo straightjacket, whereas Neptune is boundless and thinks straightjackets are just a mental illusion. Therefore, you might find you fluctuate between feeling like you must sweat every last pesky detail and wondering why the forest animals aren't magically making it all happen while you sing a little song.

The New Moon is in sextile aspect (60°) to Neptune, which is a harmonious connection that's full of creative and cooperative potential. Taurus is known for its love of anything sensual and Neptune at its best is uplifting and awe-inspiring. You might find this lunar cycle is a great time to enjoy music that melts your heart, or luxuriate in that blissful bubble bath or massage, or indulge in food fit for the gods, or treat yourself to some aromatherapy.

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.
~ Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

Saturn requires and perspires. Its fundamental energy is about slow, steady progress. It seeks to build a system that will produce a particular result. That means doing what is necessary and not doing whatever gets in the way of that progress. It also means elbow grease, shoulder to the wheel, pedal to the metal commitment, and a no-nonsense, make-it-happen attitude.

Mutable T-square - Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn

Saturn is in Sagittarius (2015 through 2017), which brings together some awkward energies. It's not that Saturn and Jupiter's sign can't get along, but it involves a careful balancing act between divergent energies. Saturn's caution versus Sagittarian adventure. Saturn's rules versus Sag's love of freedom. Saturn's reliance on the tried-and-true versus the Sag love of exploration and expansion.

And yet, together they can provide potent material for leadership (guiding others along a path, or guiding yourself via goal-setting) by combining the experience and practicality of Saturn with the knowledge and vision of Sagittarius.

Making this combination work could be a tall order, since it takes focus, effort and sustained intention to keep them working together in a constructive way. On one hand, Saturn could take over and insist that there is only One Truth, One Way, One Value, one Fact, which then become the One Strict Rule that everyone else is expected to follow (or ignore at their peril).

On the other hand, Sagittarius might dominate by envisioning a state of perfection so vast that Saturn will never be able to build a system that can embrace it all. Saturn tends to win most arguments, no matter what the situation; however, Sagittarius might actually win this one...at least temporarily. The reason is that Jupiter is the planetary ruler of Sag and therefore Saturn's dispositor (benefactor), and right now Jupiter is extra powerful, even if he's a bit cranky from being in Virgo.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.
~ Thomas Paine

Stellium in Taurus - Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus

Saturn's best ally is probably the Stellium in Taurus – Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus – which gives extra weight in the element of Earth and therefore tips the scales in Saturn's favour. Unfortunately, there is a quincunx aspect (150°) between the New Moon and Saturn, making this an edgy, itchy, unstable alliance.

With Saturn in square aspect to both Jupiter and Neptune, this also makes Saturn's normally straight and solid lines a bit wobbly, fuzzy and difficult to navigate clearly. Although Saturn is partnered with Jupiter (due to being Jupiter's sign of Sagittarius), the stressful square aspect between them is likely to make it harder to get Saturn's agenda of "only-the-essentials" to work well with Jupiter's Big Picture perspective.

And Saturn and Neptune find it hard to work together at the best of times. Saturn's boundaries become vaporized in Neptune's boundless universe, and Neptune's idealism of Universal Oneness gets lost in translation when trying to conform to Saturn's world of concrete space and time.

Although Saturn's square aspects to Jupiter and Neptune can underscore the inherent animosity between them, it's good to remember that square aspects are also motivating and dynamic. They get us up off the couch to do something to resolve a problem or to battle out conflicts of interest.

Mutable T-square - Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn

Therefore, this Mutable T-square (Jupiter opposite Neptune, squared by Saturn) can actually provoke us into finding new and better ways to combine these divergent energies. This is about applying your higher principles in practical ways—not just once in a while or in order to solve a problem but to figure out ways to weave those principles and that higher perspective into the basic structure of your life, your work, your goals and the authority you wield over your life decisions.

So, the best way to make the best of Saturn during this time is to be prepared to make a lot of adjustments. Increased tolerance for a bit of ambiguity or instability can keep the door open to new possibilities.

If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging,
that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world
and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.
~ E.B. White

The Taurus New Moon provides some stability and groundedness to the inconsistent and irritable energy of the Mutable T-square. Taurus' love of pleasure and tranquility can bring a reminder that even though the changes and adjustments are important, none of it is worth much if it's not worth your effort.

Making it worthwhile means taking the time—hours or even moments, if that's all you can manage—to rediscover some joy and contentment in your life. It's so easy to get all caught up in what you're trying to achieve or sandbagging the flood of problems that you can literally forget what it's like to feel anything other than anxious and stressed out.

Taurus is here to coax you back to what you're doing it all for. Take some time. Walk through a park. Go to a movie. Take a drive in the country. Treat yourself to a spa visit. Cook a delicious dinner for a friend. Buy yourself something that represents what you need to make yourself feel more relaxed and centered – it doesn't have to be expensive. Bring some beautiful flowers into your home. Get up early and listen to the birds singing the Sun up as you watch the sunrise.

Take pleasure in the moment by bringing your awareness down to Now. No matter what else we are aspiring to down the road, all we really have is Now. Don't let it pass without notice.

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.
~ Oprah Winfrey

May.06 – Sun trine Pluto (16:41 of Taurus/Capricorn)

Your sense of purpose is strong now, as you are able to tap into a deeper level of energy and determination. Your personality is likely to be more forceful now, which can be great if you need to make a strong impression but perhaps not so much in situations requiring delicacy or subtlety. Your ability to see below the surface of things is especially clear, and it may be possible to unearth secrets or get at the core of unconscious patterns (yours or others'). This is a time when your personal presence may come across as somewhat "larger than life," so you need to remember that a little goes a long way during this transit. This could be a time when you suddenly find the strength to stand up and assert your personal power in a situation that has felt overwhelming or discouraging. On the other hand, if you are still struggling to learn how to own your power, without using nuclear bombs to make your point, you may still feel a bit overwhelmed or daunted by this transit. In that case, take smaller steps and don't try to push the river.

May.08 – Mercury trine North Lunar Node (20:00 of Taurus/Virgo)   (May.09 in AU)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

Today, and up to a couple of days before and after, things can feel like they're starting to make sense. What you read, hear and observe may seem more obvious and your ability to put this into words could flow more easily. You might identify and figure out how to utilize the tools, skills, assets and ideas that could bring you further down the road toward whatever destination you're pointed toward. However, a reality check about how wise it might be to act on these ideas and benefits is still a good idea.

May.09 – Jupiter Stationary Direct (13:15 of Virgo; next retrograde begins Feb.06.2017)   (May.10 in AU)  ("What's a Station?"  "What does Retrograde mean?"  Read more about Retrograde planets.)

For up to a week before and after this date, you may feel a surge of idealism, inspiration and confidence. A quest for knowledge, truth, optimism and faith could become a beacon of energy in your life. On the other hand Jupiter could also bring an increase of judgement, blame and elitism. Jupiter has been retrograde for about 4 months. It is now changing direction again and resuming its normal direct motion.

You may have been exploring and developing the deeper qualities of spirituality, beliefs, confidence, knowledge, faith and/or optimism during that time. Or you might have found ways to expand your horizons—directly through travel or indirectly through the study of other cultures and languages. For the next 3 months (as Jupiter retraces its steps through the Shadow), you can start to apply and integrate what you've learned over the past 4 months. For example, if you have been taking a course or exploring your religious beliefs, this might be a time when you are able to put your discoveries into practice or place them into your worldview.

This turning point may be uplifting, overwhelming, inspiring and/or illuminating. You could discover new meaning in areas of life that had become stale or worn out, or you might realise that your old ways of understanding don't work for you anymore and need to be let go. Whatever you've learned or gained over the last 4 months, it is now available to be expressed and used more openly and directly in your life.

May.09 – Venus sextile Neptune (11:42 of Taurus/Pisces)

Artistry, romance, creativity and faith have the potential to flow freely now. Your creative Muse is whispering in your ear, although it will still take your own elbow grease to turn it into something real. Socially and romantically, things could run smoothly and even a bit magically, so be sure you are clear in yourself about what you really want. This can be a time of blessings and abundance (in all areas of life) ...but there is also the risk of overspending and being overly optimistic in your assumptions about money and relationships. Your natural beauty and warmth can be brought out by this transit, but don't just waste it on creating a façade of outer glamour and charm. Let the essence of your inner beauty and pure spirit shine through your appearance and mannerisms!

May.09 – Sun conjunct Mercury Retrograde (19:25 of Taurus)   (May.10 in AU)

When the Sun conjoins Mercury Retrograde, there is a new beginning in the areas of awareness, communication, use of information and exchange of ideas. This may or may not be heralded by a recognisable event or experience, although for a day or two your consciousness may shift. Your awareness and mental concentration may take a dip into the unconscious, becoming unusually murky and muddy, or it may rise into ultra-consciousness and become suddenly clear and lucid (afterwards returning to the usual Mercury retrograde fog). A new awareness or perspective on what has unfolded during the retrograde cycle thus far may surface now, or an unworkable attitude or perception of these events may fall apart under the weight of new information. This shift of awareness may be obvious or subtle, sudden or gradual, but this transit marks a turning point in the Mercury retrograde cycle. It also marks a time when mental awareness often goes further underground, for the rest of the retrograde period, making it a little harder to operate objectively and rationally in the outside world. Spend some time in your right-brain, intuitive, non-rational mind, which can coax your mental creativity and inventiveness to the surface.

May.09 – Transit of Mercury (19:25 of Taurus)   (May.10 in AU)

This is a very special and rare Mercury Retrograde conjunct the Sun! This is known in scientific circles as a Mercury Transit. We astrologers use the term transit to describe any activity of planets in "real time" – as they are now, in the sky overhead. However, scientists use the term when a planet crosses the face of the Sun.

In this case, not only are Mercury and the Sun aligned at the same zodiac sign and degree ("right to left"), they are also aligned by declination ("up and down"). The result is Mercury eclipsing the Sun, but Mercury is so tiny that it's not like the Moon that blocks out most of the Sun during its eclipse. Important: don't try to look directly at the Sun to find Mercury without protective eyewear. As with a solar eclipse, you could permanently damage your eyes otherwise.

It's worth noting that only Mercury and Venus can "transit" the Sun in this way, and that they are always retrograde when this happens. That's because the transiting planet must be in between the Sun and the Earth, and Mercury and Venus are the only planets that can do that. In addition, when the Earth and Mercury or Venus are on the same side of the Sun, that planet is always retrograde.

If you have access to a special solar telescope and you're in the right place on our planet Earth to view it (e.g. Europe and Africa and the Americas, you will be able to see the tiny spot of Mercury moving across the disk of the Sun. Unfortunately, even with special eclipse glasses, Mercury is too small to be seen without the help of a telescope.

A similar transit event happened with Venus back in 2012 and 2004. At those times, if you had special protective eyewear, Venus is just big enough that you could actually see the tiny dot of Venus as she inched her way across the Sun's disk.

When any planet is conjunct the Sun within 17 minutes of arc, it is Cazimi – a classical term meaning "in the heart of the Sun" – and the planet's effect is said to be greatly strengthened. When the planet also "transits" the Sun, it is Cazimi in the strictest sense. Some astrologers have suggested that the original definition of Cazimi may actually have meant this strict 2-dimensional alignment (zodiacal position and parallel by declination).

While Mercury is "in the heart of the Sun" on May 9th, be extra aware of your internal self-talk, your body language and what your body is trying to tell you. "Feed me with better food." "Take me out for a walk." "I'm over-stressed and need some rest." "I'm too wired and need to sleep." "I'm stuck in lazy mode – either let me enjoy it without nagging at me, or help me get moving again." "This feels good – let's do this more often!"

Also be aware of brilliant ideas you may have, which might involve money-making or budgeting, or how to make a purchase that gives you more value for your money. You might have a revelation about your values and what is important to you, and whether or not you are honouring those values in your day-to-day decisions. You might discover a new skill—or the need for one.

Whatever comes to you, make a mental or written note about it. Do your research about it while Mercury is still retrograde or wait until it goes direct, whichever feels right.

May.09 – Sun trine North Lunar Node (19:49 of Taurus/Virgo)   (May.10 in UK, AU)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

You may feel confident, optimistic and empowered today and a couple of days before and after this date. It can feel like the pieces are falling into place and you can make progress in what you're striving to do in your life right now. And if only because of this added self-confidence, this could indeed happen. Just an added caution, though: even though the lights are green doesn't mean you shouldn't look both ways before moving forward. In other words, a reality check as to the wisdom of what you want to do is still a good idea.

May.10 – Venus trine Jupiter (13:15 of Taurus/Virgo)   (May.11 in AU)

Your luck and opportunity to attract money, love, resources and self-esteem are high right now. The flow of attraction (whether that is magnetizing people, things or opportunities) is riding a strong current right now. You could find it easier than usual to get the resources and abundance for whatever you need right now. On the other hand, "your eyes may be bigger than your stomach" (as mother used to say), meaning your desire may magnify your sense of need beyond what is wise. You may be tempted to spend, flirt or bluff your way through situations, preferring to ignore or avoid hardship, boundaries or drudgery. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but be careful you don't get your hopes up so high that you set yourself up for disappointment or make promises you can't keep. It's probably wise to balance this easy flowing energy with some discretion and good judgement.

May.12 – Mercury trine Pluto (17:20 of Taurus/Capricorn)   (May.13 in NDT, UK, AU)

It is possible to dive deep below the surface now, in your perception of situations, other people and yourself. If you have been working on trying to understand the deeper motivations and dynamics of what is happening in your life, there could be a breakthrough now. The light may finally go on in the darker corners that have eluded you, and your penetrating insight. You could find a way to articulate these perceptions and speak your mind in a way that is unusually powerful or intense (so be careful you don't inadvertently blow your audience out of the water). This transit can bring an opportunity to shed and leave behind old worn out perceptions or ineffective forms of communication. Try writing down your thoughts and ideas to capture the energy of this transit. This is the only exact pass for this transit, since Pluto was out of range when Mercury came through this area two months ago.

May.13 – Mercury conjunct Venus (16:57 of Taurus)   (May.14 in AU)

Social connections, diplomatic communication and receptive awareness mark this transit. It can be a great time to negotiate contracts or agreements because the communication can usually flow easily. Focus your awareness on achieving a mutual balance between you and the other person. A win-win solution is especially easy to achieve now – so much so, in fact, that it might be tempting to only say what you think the other person wants to hear (which may or may not be wise). This can also be a time of appreciating and expressing beauty, pleasure and sensuality. If there's someone you want to get closer to (in terms of romance, friendship, business, partnership, or even an adversary!), talking gently and listening receptively can be the key that unlocks the door. You may also get new creative ideas from your interactions with people or from observing them.

As Mercury and Venus conjoin, they are exactly trine Pluto! This gives a transformational quality to the merging of heart and mind (Venus and Mercury). By allowing your thoughts and mental attention to be receptive to that which brings you pleasure and aligns with your values, you have a chance to take a step in your process of growth, integrity and authenticity. The trick is to listen to your heart and find ways to express what it's feeling and saying. Of course, what your heart wants might not be in your best interest in the long run, so Pluto is there to help you make empowering decisions that will support and honour your best interests.

May.13 – Venus trine Pluto (17:19 of Taurus/Capricorn)   (May.14 in UK, AU)

Close one-on-one connections with people (close friends, lovers, partners of all kinds) will tend to gravitate to a deeper, more intense level now. Instead of automatically doing the diplomatic, "nice" thing, you may find it is more fulfilling to share more of your authentic feelings. It may be possible now to connect with people on a deeper level, while still ensuring that your interests are equally balanced with theirs. The trick is to do this without trying to control or overpower the other person, and it may be easier to avoid those traps now. You could make some deeply intimate connections with people under this transit. Financial dealings with other people may also go smoothly, although it might be wise to get clear confirmation that you're both on the same page about the fine print.

May.14 – Sun sextile Chiron (24:25 of Taurus/Pisces)   (May.15 in AU)

This is a time when you have an opportunity to mend and heal the chronic struggles in your life. You may find new inspiration, motivation or confidence that can help rejuvenate waning enthusiasm or reconcile persistent problems, although you'll still have to apply effort to bring it all together. You might get the chance to demonstrate your ability to walk your own path in a new way. Or, you might get a peek inside the hidden shadow of your worries and discouragement, giving you new insight into how you might be unconsciously sabotaging your conscious efforts. You may have to face a bit of your own fear of failure or low self-esteem before you can get beyond these feelings and tap into the benefits of this transit – not because you are failing but because these concerns may arise in response to the new potential now available to you. By tapping into this potential for creative problem solving, you can bring some healing to whatever your situation is.

May.15 – Venus trine North Lunar Node (19:38 of Taurus/Virgo)   (May.16 in UK, AU)  ("What's a Lunar Node?")

Today, as well as up to a couple of days before and after, you may feel a bit more comfortable in your own skin and in the social world around you. In fact, interactions you have with others may prove fruitful to help you move further along your path toward whatever destination you're pointed in. You might be in a position to do this for someone else, as well. It may be a good time to spend or save money and other resources. However, it's still wise to do a reality check to make sure both side of the exchange are satisfied that you got as much as you gave.

May.19 – Venus sextile Chiron (24:36 of Taurus/Pisces)   (May.20 in UK, AU)

Although this transit lasts for only a few days, it is possible to make some progress in your healing and rebalancing efforts, although it will take some effort to make it happen. This may show itself in relationships, social interaction, finances, values, health or your spiritual connection to the Universe. You have an increased ability to negotiate with others and with your circumstances to achieve a fair compromise that results in equal sacrifice and benefit for all concerned. However, there is a risk of wanting to avoid conflict and discord so much that you negotiate beyond what you are truly comfortable with – peace at any price. By accepting and embracing the effort or struggle that is required, you can get out of your own way and achieve a more healing balance in those struggles. You now have increased ability to facilitate changes in situations that are within your control. It can also be easier to accept and adapt to that which lies beyond your control. Your effect on others can be potentially healing right now, especially by helping them find a new balance and point of acceptance in the conflicts and struggles of their lives.

May.20 – Sun enters Gemini (until Jun.20)

Happy Solar Return to everyone born in the sign of Gemini! This is the time of year for the cosmic Twins to party, but it is also a time for all of us to explore our dual nature and our sentient awareness that emerges from it. Communication and exchange of information and ideas are specialties of Gemini, and this period brings these areas into focus for everyone. If you're looking for ideas to explore your Gemini nature, try writing your thoughts down, or listen to the buzz of activity around you, or express your observations in both verbal and non-verbal ways. Pay special attention to conversations with others, and be alert to the new information that can be learned there. Connect with your Inner Imp and let yourself be playful, clever, cheerful and fun! Learn a new word every day. Find out the names of things you never even noticed before. Read a book or newspaper or newsletter...or write one! Ride the bus to an area of town you've never been to and see what you find. And remember that it is largely through our interactions with other people and with the immediate world around us that we develop consciousness, perception and mental focus. Therefore, use this as an opportunity to increase your awareness of your immediate surroundings. Exchange information and ideas with others. Use your ability to communicate in every way you can think of. And let yourself be curious, clever and playful!
